Resources

As a committee of the Socialist Project, we encourage everyone to check out the resources available on the SP website. For a list of statements by the Socialist Project, follow this link.

Below we share a few resources from the SP publication The Bullet and Leftstreamed.

We also include resources from the NB Media Co-op. SP Fredericton is developing more resources for our community and will add them here when available.

The Bullet

The Bullet publishes articles by socialist thinkers and activists, and all those seeking to go beyond capitalism. Here’s a few recent articles:

Enforcement Regime: Immigration hardliners in the US state
On September 30, hundreds of federal law enforcement officers raided a 130-unit apartment complex in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. After rappelling from a Black Hawk helicopter, rifle-wielding agents hurled stun grenades, kicked down doors and dragged residents out of their apartments, zip-tying and detaining some of them for hours.

Cybernetic Circulation Complex: Big Tech and Planetary Crisis
The term Cybernetic Circulation Complex refers to the US tech sector headed by the so-called Magnificent Seven corporations, Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla. The book examines how it circulates commodities, conflicts and eco-crisis, and proposes an alternative “biocommunist” use of digital technologies.

Leftstreamed

Leftstreamed is a massive online archive of public talks by hundreds of leading Left public intellectuals around the world. Check out these talks:

People’s Assembly for Housing Justice
In April 2025, tenants, housing advocates, and grassroots organizers gathered at 163 Queen Street East for the launch of the People’s Assembly for Housing Justice – a two-day event calling for collective action in the face of Toronto’s housing crisis.

We Won’t Be Locked Out
For more than two years, 230 Fightback, a grassroots coalition of residents and anti-poverty advocates, has challenged corporate developer KingSett Capital, demanding that the property be converted into affordable housing rather than luxury condominiums.

NB Media Co-op

NB Media Co-op is a democratic and independent online media source for New Brunswickers. The Co-op covers stories from the perspectives of those ignored or misrepresented in corporate media. Here are some recent stories:

Migrant workers’ labour conditions not on the table at Canada–U.S. lobster industry conference
Lobster industry representatives from Canada and the U.S. gathered in Moncton in January 2026 for an annual conference, with discussions on issues including trade and tariffs. Questions about substandard labour and living conditions for migrant workers in the lobster processing sector didn’t appear to be on the table.

Fredericton vigil shows solidarity with migrants, ICE resisters facing police violence in United States
About 50 people gathered at Fredericton City Hall for a vigil for Renee Good in January as other vigils and protests took place across the United States.
